Speed and stoppingQuestion 102 of 202

Why should you avoid locking the wheels in an emergency stop?

  1. The tires get warm and stick
  2. You lose steering control
  3. The brakes stop working
  4. The engine stalls
Show answer

Correct answer: You lose steering control

Locked wheels slide and you cannot steer. Brake hard, but not so hard that the wheels lock.
