Speed and stoppingQuestion 88 of 202
A white sign with the words MAXIMUM 50.

What does a speed limit sign tell you?

  1. The speed you should always drive
  2. The lowest speed allowed
  3. The speed that is safe in any weather
  4. The top speed that is legal in ideal conditions
Show answer

Correct answer: The top speed that is legal in ideal conditions

The limit is a maximum, not a target. You may need to drive slower in bad conditions.
