Traffic signalsQuestion 92 of 223

You turn left on a steady green signal. To whom must you yield?

  1. Only pedestrians who have a walking person signal
  2. Pedestrians, vehicles in the intersection, and close oncoming traffic
  3. Only vehicles that are turning right
  4. No one, because you have a green signal
Show answer

Correct answer: Pedestrians, vehicles in the intersection, and close oncoming traffic

Green does not remove the duty to yield. Turning drivers yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk and to vehicles in the intersection. A left turn also yields to close oncoming traffic.
