Your car skids because you braked too hard. What should you do?

  1. Ease off the brake and steer in the direction of the rear-end skid
  2. Press the brake harder
  3. Turn the wheel the other way
  4. Press the accelerator hard
Show answer

Correct answer: Ease off the brake and steer in the direction of the rear-end skid

Releasing the brake lets the wheels grip again. Steering with the skid brings the car back in line.
