Parking and stoppingQuestion 161 of 296

You park facing downhill. Which way do you turn the front wheels?

  1. Away from the curb
  2. Straight ahead, with the parking brake on
  3. Toward the centre of the road
  4. Toward the nearest curb or side of the road
Show answer

Correct answer: Toward the nearest curb or side of the road

On a downhill slope, with or without a curb, turn the wheels toward the nearest curb or side. The car then rolls to the curb, not into traffic.
