  1. Press the brake pedal firmly.
  2. Turn the wheel sharply.
  3. Shift into a lower gear.
  4. Take your foot off the gas pedal.

Correct answer: Take your foot off the gas pedal.

Easing off the gas lets the wheels stop spinning. Then steer where you want to go.
